The horn antenna is a broadband passive device, shaped like a pyramid horn, referred to as a TEM antenna, which guides the beam of radio waves at a precise frequency. FT-RF Double Ridged Horn antennas have frequency capabilities ranging from 400MHz to 40GHz depending on type and style. These series are characterized by a huge frequency range and extremely high input powers. With increasing frequency, the gain rises to a maximum of 18 dBi. At higher frequencies, the increased gain compensates for the increasing cable losses.

The advantages of Horn antenna:

- Wide bandwidth: Because the horn antenna has no resonant parts, it can function over a wide range of frequencies.

- Easy waveguide interface: These antennas are very easy to interface to waveguide due to their shape, but they can also be designed with a transition so that a regular coaxial feeder can be used.

中元普度將至，新北市環保局推動「友善祭祀三好事」，除持續提供「網路普度」及「紙錢集中收運」服務外，更首度結合新北市好日子愛心大平台推廣「以功代金」，環保局鼓勵民眾響應此3種環境友善祭祀方案，讓民眾兼顧防疫與祭祀習俗，也能守護環境、減少空氣污染。

環保局表示，今年首度與社會局合作推動「以功代金」，鼓勵民眾與新北市一同跨域做功德，以做愛心的方式替代燒紙錢，友善祭祀一樣誠心；民眾可至新北市好日子愛心大平台網站響應，或至四大超商(7-11、全家、萊爾富及OK便利商店)事務機點選以功代金後，選擇社福團體捐款，除可幫助弱勢團體、並減少空氣污染物排放外，也能提升自身功德。

環保局指出，疫情雖趨緩但防疫仍不可鬆懈，延續往年「網路普度」服務，民眾可透過網路登記參與普度，除避免聚集、減少人群接觸外，亦能減少因燃燒香品、紙錢對空氣品質及民眾健康的影響；無論是「以功代金」或登記「網路普度」之民眾，均會統一將參與民眾名單於農曆七月底於新北市林口竹林山觀音寺普度法會中，透過祭祀祈福儀式，替參與者祈福。

另「紙錢集中收運」服務今年仍持續提供，民眾或社區可將紙錢拿到各區清潔隊集中地點，如紙錢量大無法自行送至集中地點，可聯絡當地清潔隊協助集中運送，由清潔隊統一集中後，再送往完成淨爐儀式之焚化爐集中焚燒。環保局也提醒民眾，集中焚燒的紙錢應未焚燒過，且不可摻雜鞭炮、火燭及香腳等危險物品，避免發生火災。

環保局說，燃燒過量的香品及紙錢會產生細懸浮微粒(PM2.5)、鉛、鎘及游離甲醛等有害空氣污染物，若是香金原料品質不佳，則易對敏感族群或抵抗力較弱之老人、幼兒引發呼吸道症狀，因此呼籲自辦普度之民眾或社區，採「少燒金、燒好金」理念，選購經檢驗符合國家標準(CNS)之金銀紙及香品，或是小份量普度金，新北市與家樂福、大潤發、愛買及全聯合作推出環保普度金及CNS好香金，提供仍有燒金需求之民眾新的選擇，以減少因燃燒產生有害空氣污染物。
